Jojo, sharpie sgel is the one I use at work. I like that you can get the metal barrel option. Just don't leave it in a hot car. I love your Stitch paper.

I use the papermate flair, inkjoy gel, writech, and pilot G2. It all depends on which one I like the feel of at the time.

My favorites are ballpoint or felt tip. 1. Dr. Grip Ballpoint (medium 1.0) - refillable 2. Uni Ball Jetstream (0.38) - very crisp - multi color and refillable - this one would be considered “scratchy’ but I like feedback 😂 3. Papermate Flair Favorite papers 1. Field Notes 2. Erin Codren Mohawk 3. Tome River 4. Pen and Gear (Walmart)

A lot (but not all) of the pens you bought use the same sized refills. So you should be able to mix and match the refill that you like with the pen body that you like.

If you like the boldness of a Flair, but not the tip wearing down, check out a Uniball Air. It's a 1.0, so it's super bold. I love this pen, it's my ride or die!

Sharpie S gel 1.0 has been my new favorite. Its so pigmented and buttery, I can't stop using it! I haven't felt a difference on different papers either! I promise they're so bomb.

Love Tül pens for broad lines. Muji .38 for narrow ,❤❤❤

I used to work at Bic for many years and to be honest their pens are not my favourite, the Sharpie S gel and uniball pens are far nicer than Bic pens in my opinion! We used to do one called the Intensity Clic Gel which was a pretty good pen but overall Bic pens aren't the best!

I found that pens write differently on different types of papers. I remember once writing with my VB pen on my passion planner at the time and it would not write without skipping and scrapping and then tried it in a different planner later and it wrote like butter. Something to think about. I love the energel and sharpie s gel pen

I have to laugh when did pens get so complicated, now I’m showing my age. We use to just pick up a pen to write with it didn’t matter now there is a whole lot more of selection criteria lol. Planners have needs I guess.

I was surprised about BIC gelocity when I tried them several months ago. Of course I had to also get the color pack. Later new colors came out, my favorite is blue/black ink.

I tend to lean toward the 0.5 size pens and I agree the the BIC Gelocity works very well, but I also use the Sharpie S and the Pentel and the Pilot G2 all in in 0.5. I wish they made more of the colored pens in 0.5, but I have had a hard time finding some of them so I have to use the 0.7 in my planner especially for my budget as I color code in that one more than others. I do want to try the Writech pens and maybe even the Uniball Zento, but I have gotten away from ballpoint pens and I don't think have have any left in my house. Thanks for the review.

You tested pens that ran the spectrum of nib sizes, types of ink, and dry time. My sincere and friendly suggestion? Figure out what you actually prefer. My guess after watching? You seem to tend toward a fairly quick-drying, 0.7mm nibbed pen that uses gel or hybrid ink. I would focus the search on pens with just those features. Ex.: I'm a sidewriter lefty. I only write in black ink. Felt and manmade felt type tipped pens feel so horrible to write with, I literally get goosebumps. I'm also not a fan of needle-tip nibs. My natural handwriting is very small at less than 4mm tall. I prefer a nib that is .28mm, .38mm, or.5mm, but no larger. My planner, where I write the most, has slick-smooth paper. Pen that meets my wants and needs: Uni Jetstream .38mm oil-based ink rollerball pen. And when I'm not in my planner: Zebra Sarasa Dry .4mm gel pen. Jetpens also has some amazingly helpful resources for choosing the right pen for you. Definitely worth a look.

I use Ener-gel daily (in every color available, I color code a lot). Flair on occasion.

Zebra sarasa clip 1.0 ( from Amazon). Close to perfect! I also like the Flair bold point 1.0. I can see my writing without my glasses! Donate pens you don’t like to your library…they will love having them!

I don't like s gel from that same experience when I tried them.

The Uni PIn is very dark and archival. The sigma Micron maintains its point. I use HP a lot of the time, but you need better paper to make a lesser pen work. Like Rhodia. Energel 07 is still my go to. The 05 is also very good but more for smaller writing. The pilot acroball is great for using with mildliners.

I wish I had seen your request for pens because I would have suggested the Zebra Blen gel retractable pen 0.7mm It has THE BLACKEST ink color I’ve seen and it’s so smooth! My favorite pen next to the flair pen! Try it out!!!!
